Superside
Frontend Engineer
Superside is a creative subscription service, trusted by the world's top brands to get exceptional design faster, more reliably and at scale.
I joined the company as a frontend engineer to help build and maintain their products, focusing on creating seamless and engaging user experiences. My goal is to provide significant value to their customers through innovative solutions and high-quality interfaces.
- In 2022, I joined the company as a frontend engineer focusing on feature development, specifically on their internal platform, Superspace. During my time there, we helped in launching the milestones feature for clients to better understand their project's progress.
- In 2023, I transitioned to the design system team to help maintain and improve the design system, ensuring that the components are accessible, performant, and easy to use for the engineering team. In addition to that, I help towards improving the developer experience by providing documentation.
- In 2024, I joined Superads' core team to help build their product, my responsibilities include building workflows for testing environment, maintaining the UI components. Down the line, I started to contribute into building some of their features.
2021 - 2022
Pow Pocket
Senior Lead Engineer
Pow Pocket is a company that provides numerous platforms that helped paved the way of digitalising the healthcare industry in Malaysia.
I was responsible to lead the engineering team to build and maintain our products, focusing on creating seamless and engaging user experiences. My goal was to provide significant value to our customers through innovative solutions and high-quality interfaces and contribute within discussions on building our tech roadmap.
Throughout the year I was there, we managed to launch our products to the market and helped move vaccines to the all the vaccination centres. We've also created a platform for the public to verify their Covid-19 tests online, without the need to go out of their house.
2020 - 2021
Setel
Full Stack Engineer
When I joined Setel in 2020, it was still a small startup that focuses on providing a seamless and convenient way for users to pay for their fuel
Setel has grown significantly since then, and is now a one stop solution for users to pay for their fuel, parking, and even purchase items from the store.
I joined the treasury team as a full stack engineer, where we worked on the internal tools for the finance team to manage the company's finances and transactions. We also worked on the company's reconciliation process, where we managed to reduce the time taken to reconcile transactions by 50%.
It was an interesting time there, as I also helped in the transition from Angular to React for the internal dashboard.
2018 - 2020
Vase
Engineering Lead
Vase is a SaaS company that provides a platform for businesses to validate their customer's data and help supercharge their business decisions.
I joined the company as a full stack engineer fresh out of bootcamp, and helped in building the company's dashboard and mobile app.
- In 2018, I helped in developing the respondent's dashboard, where users can view their data and manage their account. I have also turned the project from an SPA to an SSR application to improve load time and performance. This helped customers with slow internet connection to access the dashboard faster, improving user retention by 60%.
- In 2019, I was promoted to Engineering Lead for the respondents team. I was responsible for leading the team to build the platform's features, and ensuring that the platform is scalable and reliable. During this time, I helped improved the mobile app by transitioning it from React Native to Flutter.
